High‑quality 3D model

Rockwool

The context

Visualising product benefits

Rockwool develops advanced insulation solutions - but while the products solve complex technical challenges, explaining how they work is not always straightforward.

Therefore, Rockwool needed to visualise their products in a way that makes their function, structure, and benefits easy to understand across markets and audiences.

By asking the right questions and understanding Rockwool’s world, our collaboration demonstrated how technical insight and visual storytelling can work together to create clarity rather than complexity.

The collaboration began with a focused pilot project designed to explore how much value a single high‑quality 3D model could create. From this single asset, a wide range of materials and formats was developed – like product images, animations, and an exploded view illustrating the internal structure and function of the solution.

Different technologies were combined throughout the process, making it easy to move from static imagery to animation and video without starting over each time.

The content was translated into four languages to support international communication.

The solution
One 3D model turned into numerous materials

By building everything from one detailed 3D model, Rockwool gained a flexible content foundation that could be reused and adapted across marketing, sales, and digital platforms.

What began as a small, focused project evolved into a broad set of deliverables, all rooted in the same visual and technical logic. This approach maximised the value of the investment and simplified the process of scaling communication efforts over time.

The value
Consistency across the organisation

Looking ahead

A digital transformation

The 3D model laid the groundwork for future development. With a growing library of high‑resolution product models, the next step is to connect these assets across platforms and formats.

Whether the need is product films, exhibition materials, or a virtual platform that brings the entire product portfolio together, the foundation is already in place. The collaboration points toward a broader digital transformation where products are not only shown, but experienced and understood.

PSST… THERE’S MORE.
